A renewal quote from my car insurer for 9th January (pre 21 yrs old) (Norwich Union) for 2 years no claims; £434.99

A renewal quote from DirectLine for 22nd January (when I am 21), 0 no claims; £489.24

Norwich Union for the same is just less than £1000

I’m gonna wait till the 22nd methinks. Only £50 more now, but much better in the long run as I will get discounts for being older and supposedly wiser.

So a tip for people; if you want cheap car insurance goto DirectLine for your first year, then goto (maybe) Norwich Union.

Oh yeah, car got through its MOT after ~£500 work on it. Eeek.
